This just kind of reminds me of DH's brother's former HOA a few years and a couple of houses ago. The neighborhood had a "thing" against colored Christmas lights and certain yard displays. This was not made known until BIL and SIL worked all weekend on putting up their stuff. The association reps were SO snotty about it, BIL got "the a$$" and "rearranged" the reindeer display. He made it where one of the deer was mounting the other, lol.
Needless to say, THAT did not go over so well, but the point was made and nothing else was said about the lights!
