Josie was spayed when she was in heat. No big deal. She was probably in heat for 2-3 days. I thought I could get through her being in heat and keep Jack from her. What a nighmare at least for me. (1st time female and male owner at 1-time)
I knew I could not breed her and Jack together, Jack being larger than her but I was going to try and hold off just in case the right guy come alone. I couldn't keep them apart. The first night I did have them apart Jack was howling like a wolf. LOL
Now I am so glad I had her spayed. In fact I took her and Jack same time and had them done same day. Jack springed back in a day or two it took Josie about 7-10 days. Best thing I could have done, especially since I have read on here about having pups and owner knowing nothing about the delivery. That would have been me. |
