Yes, I do weigh the towel first. That is a good idea about being able to tell about the parents. The fish scale does up to 50lbs, but trying to get an adult to hold still in a towel...
I actually have a digital human scale that does oz too...I actually won it...long story, don't ask. I just see how much I weigh and then step on w/ Trixie and look at the difference.
