Our Lexie is doing quite well following surgery; however, we will not know if the surgery was truly successful for 6 months following the surgery. They put a cellophane band on the shunt which slowly closes it for a period of 6 months. We'll know how well the surgery was once we take more blood tests at that time - but at least we know we'vel done all we can for her. I wish you continued good health with your pup - hopefully not all her dogs were affected with this health issue. I, of course, let her know our problems and asked that she restrain from breeding Lexie's sire and dam, but never heard a thing from her. Good luck. Becca
