Bentley never does that. But we couldn't use treats to praise him, he's not food motivated in the least. All we did to train him was say NO and take him to the potty pad when he started to pee somewhere else. Then when he peed on the pad we praised him by saying Good boy and clapping our hands in excitement. He potties fine on the pad in the family room but we have 2 pads next to each other in the dining room and he pees all around the pads, and on the pads... The carpet is ruined in there. We will have to replace it when we move. In our new house we will have laminate or wood floors. So chances are he will pee on the pad at that new house instead of on the carpet. We hope...
