We're broiling here in Texas and having lived here all my life, dogs in cars anytime it is even warm are always something we have to watch out for and do. It's very cold in the house and at lunch when I let Tibbe out to potty and stepped into the den to see a golf shot at The Open and stepped back outside, I found Tibbe lying on his tummy right in the hottest patch in the back yard trying his best to warm up! He was soaking up all the warmth he could during his outing so I took a cue from him and nudged the A-C a bit warmer. Poor little guy was cold and sunning himself warm! I guess there is such a thing as trying too hard to stay cool for some of us!
When it is this hot, I just never take Tibbe with me anywhere in the car just in case there is a breakdown or accident and through something happenstance, he could die from heatstroke. Tibbe stays home when it is this hot outside just as a precaution. I would love him with me but it is just not worth the risk.
