My pups are 16 and 18 weeks. I would like to start taking them for a walk, but the summer here in Arizona makes it very hard with babies. We get up at 4:30 am and that is about the only time it is not too hot for them. However, right now Abby and Max would prefer to just play on me all morning and retreat when they see the harnesses.

(So far I have gotten Max to wear his harness for about 5 minutes without freaking out, Abby has at least stopped yelping when I put it on her, which lasts for all of 10-15 seconds.)

They get to go outside on the screened in patio for about 5 minutes after I get home from work - but it is still over 100's most days. They are in the house with the A/C running all day.

I have put ice cubes in their water dish to keep in nice and cool - Abby likes to go ice cube bobbing. She roots around in the dish until she can grab a piece of ice and then takes it and hides it behind the couch.
