Is she spayed? Could she be in heat? They lick a lot when they are in heat. Otherwise, if just clipped close, but not nicked, I don't see why she would be licking a lot.
Otherwise, getting a softee cone aka Kissee cone from Mom to Hot Rod isn't a bad idea to just have in your yorkie arsenal. We have one and they are a great alternative to those pathetic looking plastic cones. so much more comfy.
