When I have taken my dogs to a professional they always use a nail trimmer that sands them down. It is like a dremmel. ANd so much safer then clipping them. I found one at a small pet store that is rechargeable .It is quiet too. If the nails blees then you have hit a vein and this is extremely painful. THe problem is that the pup is going to associate the clipper with pain , and will react .
