I use a travel kennel that I can secure with the seat belt. In Arizona, the kennel offers a little shade in the car which is a benefit. I put it in the front seat - two reason for me. First they can see me thru the door to the kennel. Second, I can make sure the A/C is blowing on the them. When it is 115, the back seat does not always get cool enough for me to feel comfortable putting them in the back seat. .
Years ago with two of my other babies I used to drive back and forth from Arizona to Wyoming to visit my folks. They were great in the car and never got car sick, but they had to have different kennels because the younger one would bug the crap out of the older one. I put their kennels in the back seat and strapped them in so their kennel doors were facing each other. Funny, they did not want to be in the same kennel, but they needed to be able to see each other - I love how their little brain work! |
