I would agree with the above except for the hot dog part. Hot dogs are just not a good choice to feed. Things like veggies are better. Also, if you are rewarding with a lot of treats you need to cut back on the food portions.

It's not too early to start training basic commends. My Doodlebug is the only one of my three that I've had while still a puppy. We got him at 12 weeks and within 2 weeks he knew sit, stay, paw, rollover, high five with basic hand signals as well as voice commands. Get down on the floor and work with both of them. Use the teeniest pieces of treats to reward. Puppies catch on very quickly.
