You'll want to recoup all of your expenses and possibly put a little away to build your program. I'm not sure exactly what they are, but I know that some of our really experienced breeders do a lot of testing on their breeding stock and puppies. I know there are the LP and LS test, along with many others. Once you get that list, I would call your vet and price out all of the tests. Then, divide that by the typical number in your litters. I would only charge for the tests that you have done this time, but any extra money can be put away for upcoming litters. Do you provide puppy packages for your puppies? How much did you spend on pre and post natal care for your mom? What supplies did you have to purchase? How much were your vet bills? What is the pedigree of your dam and sire like?

Good luck!
