Not sure if someone is pulling on legs or what is going on, but here is the link to AA's policy on shipping animals:

Specifically states:
Shipping Animals in Temperatures Above 85 Degrees Fahrenheit
Warm-blooded animals (including birds) will not be accepted for transport if the actual or forecasted temperature exceeds 85 degrees Fahrenheit at any city on the routing.
It is hot as hell here in Texas....and rarely is it forecast lately to be below 85. Now, I suppose it is possible for an early morning flight...but I don't know. I think the lowest temp I have seen is in the high 70s. To me it is a ridiculous situtation and if AA allows it, shameful imo.
