Sometimes with GI and/or pancreas issues, things can return to normal on their own (if they don't pass from dehydration first). The antiemetic injection is helping keep things down. Any vet would have done that...
Her gums were dry. She was dehydrated and may still be. As Cathy said, to each their own. This isn't a doctor that I would waste my time with because he doesn't know how to assess for dehydration, he did not give fluids and there was no excuse not to, and he made her wait overnight. Also, it is very likely pancreatitis, but "nobody" can diagnose it without labs or possibly an ultrasound.
She is probably better able to keep things down now because of the antiemetic, but if it is her pancreas, it is still very "angry" and does not want to have to process anything given by mouth right now.
