Talk to your vet for a referral to a hospital that performs surgery on collapsing tracheas. Currently, the stents are being performed, depending on the area of collapse. The procedure is not cheap, usually around $4000, but if successful, your yorkie will be able to lead a fairly normal life. Cough suppressants can help mild cases, but it sounds like your girl may be a candidate for surgery. Good luck with her.
