mine still has his. and its not a problem at all!
as long as you keep the nail short there is no negative effects on the dog. (Clover reminds me by clawing at my legs, and if i can feel scratches i know its time for a trim!)
i read somewhere that dogs with dewclaws tend to turn faster when running (better balance) as supposed to the ones with dewclaws removed. which may only be an issue with working dogs or agility dogs. |
