The surgeon called me from the OR. When they checked the repair they found that it had held except for the top area where the bladder had once again slipped in to the hernia. So, they are doing the repair with the material that they use; and then going in abdominally to stablize the bladder. Apparently the bladder is what caused the hernia repair to fail. So, poor little Sammy is really getting the once over.
