Turns out I am normal by Yorkie standards. With my previous Yorkie, twice a year I would pack up all of the toys she did not care for and take them to the humane society. We used to sit down by her toy bed (yes, the toy box was a doggie bed - she did not care for it so I put it to good use) and go thru her toys. The ones she liked she would take and put by her travel kennel. The ones she put her nose up to, they went in the donate bag. Poppy had a big heart and liked to share!
My two new babies have been with me for four weeks and I don't even want to know how much I have spent on them and puppy proofing the house. But it is well worth it. The look of excitement when I give them a new toy is priceless. So worth it. |
