OP, you did your best to try to educate your family. I have the same situation with my family. They won't listen to me when it comes to spay and neuter, but when their babies are in trouble, they'll call me in a heartbeat. Just be there to educated them when they're open to it. I won one small battle. My uncle added a female to his crew. He already has 2 unaltered male dogs. He at the very least had the female spayed.
