Yes you are teaching the right thing. she needs to know it is ok to play but not hurt. I have the exact same situation. I have 3 Yorkies, Tessie 2 1/2 Hobbes 2 and Calvin 18 months. I got my little girl Sassy and she targeted Tessie from the first day. she chases her and bites on her. I had to start putting Sassy in timeout, this seemed to help sometimes. Tessie got to where she would run under the kitchen table to the chair. I had Sassy spayed a month ago, she is 9 months now. This has helped a lot. Sassy still does this but not as much and I think she is just a little jealous. I don't think she is trying to hurt her. She gets along great with the males. It will just take time and they should be ok after an adjustment period. Just make sure that your other dogs come first. When I feed mine, give them treat, put their harness on etc, I always do it in the order they were brought here to live. |
