Personally I have always tried to stop the behavior in my dogs- I don't want them to think that humping anything and everything is okay because I have encountered strange dogs that will hump anyone or any dog who walks by and I find that to be bad behavior. When they were puppies and started doing it I would just say "eh eh" and redirect them to something else. Armani will still sometimes start doing it to another dog in the house if he is playing really rough and I just say enough and he stops.
