I agree, people get these invisible fences thinking it's the answer. It does serve it's purpose however I know for a fact that dogs do get out of them. Also things can and will go into the area where the fences are.

I live in a semi wooded area and we have tons of wildlife. I have seen deer and foxes inside of the invisible fences of my neighbors yards many, many times. We also have very large buzzards and hawks flying above.

We had thought about an invisible fence at one point but realized that the collar would probably topple our babies over. We would have only used it when we were out with them, never intended for them to just roam around on their own.
