So I was driving home this evening... and in my neighborhood down the street from my house was this tiny yorkie walking around in a yard. My first thought was this baby HAD to have gotten away from home bc he was all alone. I pulled over and jumped out of my car and went into the yard and saw that this lil one had one of those shock collars on! I was petting the little one and a man came out and asked if I had a problem and I told him that I was just concerned bc I thought he was lost. He told me clearly he wasn't and that I was in his yard. I left crying bc the baby was maybe 5 lbs and the collar looked like it weighed more than him!
We have a lot of yorkies in my neighborhood and everyone usually socializes as we have our babies on leashes on walks... but NEVER have I seen one just roaming around a yard with no fence! Whats to stop a person or other animal coming IN their yard to hurt him??? I felt so horrible driving off and gave Oliver extra kisses when I got home.
