Default Yucky skin staph infection

Sadie has had similar symptoms for the last year - sores that crust over, occasionally itchy, on her belly, chest, and under her arms. She's 5 years old and never had any problems like this before, although she has food allergies and is on a Natural Balance Limited Ingredient diet for these. My vet recommended medicated shampoo - which didn't really seem to help. A couple of weeks ago I took her back to see him and he gave her omega 3 fatty acid capsules to be taken orally, Dermachlor liquid to apply topically, and to continue with the medicated shampoo.

Apparently it's quite common for dogs to have these staph infections on their skin and not serious as long as they aren't uncomfortable and itching all the time. I just HATE looking at it!!!

Anybody have anything further to advise on this - I'm all EARS - LOL !!!
