I will not feed greenies because I had a bad experience with them. We gave our little guy a greenie every morning to chew on while we were gone. We started giving them before he was 6 months but he was over 5 lbs. Well one morning my husband dropped the greenie before we got him into his pen and he took off with it (the dog not my husband) and we were trying to catch him because we were late for church. So, like he does anytime he thinks were gonna take something away, he chewed and swallowed it real fast. We found out later he swallowed it whole (one of those little toothbrush things). That after noon he started acting really weird like he couldn't walk and he had a tummy ache. We gave him a little pepto to settle his stomach and he seemed fine. The next day at lunch he pooped out the entire greenie completely whole. It had not digested at all. We are just very lucky it didn't cause a blockage. After that and a little research we decided greenies weren't the right choice for our dog. I think most dogs can eat them as long as they are not gulpers or have extremely strong jaws that can break off too big of pieces. I would just be really careful and wait til your pup is a little older.
