I'm very upset by this and don't know what I need to do to stop her from being so aggressive towards children. The other day my neighbour, who is an adult, was walking in her own backyard and Hannah ran over and bit her leg. So now I'm wondering if this could happen to just about anyone. How do I stop her bad behavoir?! |
Always in temperament (sudden changes) rule out physical issues first; that means a visit to the vet.
In the meantime she can't be trusted off lead and must be supervised by you at all times when outside the house.
She must be leash corrected quickly at the instant she even attempts to go to bite. and rewarded if she doesn't attempt any biting upon meeting any strangers.
You will need to setup some practice situations with your Adult friends to reward good behaviour (no bite) and discipline bad behaviour. Beyond leash correction there are "time outs" where the dog is crated or xpenned or placed in another room away from human companionship for a short period of time. And then you try again.
I hope these methods can work for you
