Yes nonspiced canned pumpkin (I've heard) should help with the loose stool, but also you can give small amounts of pepto bismol (ask vet for dosage) and that should help any upset tummy/loose stool. I've given it to my yorkie once before when he wouldn't eat and was throwing up from an empty stomach which happens if he doesn't eat for a whole day, vomits the next morning. He's a picky eater so we have to watch his eating carefully.

As others have stated it is probably stress from the new addition. If it doesn't clear up with pumpkin, call the vet. Make sure Rosie is drinking plenty of water.
