I have never heard anyone say nasty things about Poppy but sometimes when she wears clothes I get funny looks. The other day I was buying Poppy a couple of new t-shirts and the lady who served me in the pet shop was really snooty and I could tell she didn't approve, I didn't say anything but it did annoy me. I treat my dog better then a lot of people treat their kids so she has no right to judge me. I tend just to let things go though, I think anyone who would be nasty about a little dog must be a very sad horrible person who is not worth my time.
I also hate it when people think they know eveything and make sure everyone knows it. My BF has bulldogs and we were out walking Poppy and his bulldog girl a few weeks ago, it wasn't hot but the sun was out (I was wearing a jumper so it wasn't hot weather) and this woman walked past us in the park and said loudly to her friend "dogs like THAT shouldn't be allowed out in this weather" .. she said it so we could hear, and before
he could stop himself my BF said "dogs like YOU shouldn't be allowed out at all" ... LOL I laughed but mainly because of the shocked look on both hers and my BF's face because he couldn't quite believe he had said it LOL! Most of the time I think people like that should just be ignored though. |
Thank you for the morning spew of my coffee! OMG that is funny. Its amazing to me how people think that they can be rude and then are shocked if you respond.
Im old enough now that people can just think that I am a crazy dog lady. Dont care as long as they are civil (which they arent sometimes). I do miss people having manners....Not everyone is uncivilized but the ones that are really muck it up for those that do have manners.
