What tests has your dog had already? What makes the vet think it is a liver shunt?
I would stick with whatever food your vet has recommended in the meantime and not add extras until you determine what is wrong.
Both of my dogs have a liver disease called MVD- so I know how stressful all of this can be- good luck determining what is wrong with your baby and getting the best treatment possible.
