So if she's not allowed I just don't shop there, end of story, no drama or retaliation or anything. I just don't go, like I said it's their choice to not allow dogs in purses in and I respect that choice. It's unlikely however that I will make a special trip all the way out to that store without my dog to shop so they are loosing business, but that's a business decision they make like any other. I don't go telling them they are loosing my business, I just stop going.

My real point is, some people have busy lives and can't be home all the time to give the proper attention and care to a dog (especially to a large breed dog, that really has to stay home due to it's size). I chose a small breed because I can take her almost everywhere, and in being able to do that I'm not neglecting her or leaving her for hours and hours alone. She gets LOTS of socialization, play time, training, love, and comfy carriers and places to take naps when mommies busy.. I just hate to see people get judged for taking their dogs in to places, if it's a rule it's a rule, but don't judge me because I choose to take my dog with me when I'm gone, and in that I also choose to not shop places that won't allow me to bring her..
It's becoming so common for busy people to bring their dogs with them that hotels, airlines, stores, resorts, and even Disney Land has a place for dogs now!
MOst people lead busy lives, that is beside the point. Before ever getting a dog it ought to be thought out very carefully. If your lifestyle is that busy then a dog may not of been the right choice. Cats are much more independent. It was a choice you made , most people are not carrying dogs in purse's. It actually looks silly, plus dogs are not assessories No matter how cute it may look... Perhaps those who like to do so Need or crave that extra attention. Look ar me ! I have a dog in my purse! I am special! I am rich! I have a yorkie! Wow see me, I am cool, wait a minute until I vomit. i am just trying to figure it out and understand. Guess I don't get it?
You say you don't want to be judged? You set yourself up for that. Disneyland has a boarding facility. They do not allow dogs inside the park. Only a handful of hotels will allow dogs, and when they do their are very strict rules .
Most places Do NOt Allow dogs , NY< does sound nice for that though. Good thing that people just look the other way... It still looks dumb. I rather see a dog in a persons jacket or in your arms then a purse.
I got anther little dog for my yorkie and they are as happy as can be when we are not home.
The attitudes of some of those who carry around their dogs everywhere and in stores is astounding. RIDICULOOUS>
