Hi. I just took my 12 week old to the vet yesterday and got his vacinations. They weighed him and he is at 5 lbs 3 oz. When I took him in at 8 weeks he weighed 3 lbs 10 oz. I am a little concerned of one of two things. His dad was 4 lbs and his mom 8 lbs. I thought he would end up being around 7 or 8 lbs. Is he really going to double the 5 lb 3 oz and be a 10 lb dog? I know that it is hard to know, just by experience I would like some advice. I love him to pieces and dont care if he is 10, just wondering if I am feeding him to much. He eats 3 times a day. Nuto Natural dry , with a small teaspoon of ceasars so he will eat it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I dont want a tubby boy, but need to know if he is eating to much. He gets about 1/4 to 1/3 cup 3 times a day.
