Hi. I just took Baxter to the groomers yesterday, for his first puppy visit. He is 12 weeks old. I did this with my cocker also to get them used to her. We just play it by ear and see how it goes. She will only work with him however long they will let her. He did amazing. He went at 12 noon, so it was time for a nap,. and he was great. Didn't get to excitied as he was a little sleepy. She got to bath him, trim ears feet and his little bottom. She laughed saying he was so exhausted that she couldn't keep him standing to finish him. I know with this approach he will not be scared and like the cocker will look forward to seeing her. As for the brush, he fights me also, I just try to work it in when he is tired and not so playful.
