I have a Yorkie and a Maltese that are trained for a "pick up position". Whenever I sit at my computer desk or any chair, I snap and point to a spot on the ground on my right side. They come running, face forward and wait to be picked up. Of course if I'm not paying attention when they want up, I get pawed at until I do the snap and point. I'm not sure if they have me trained or I have them trained.
