A few years back we took all of the carpet up in our den and formal dining. I found grooved,floated flooring (like pergo only nicer,swiss made) at the RESTORE. If you haven't found one near you,it is owned by Habitat for Humanity and what you spend there goes towards building homes for others. It cost about half of what HomeDepot and Lowes cost. They even had the sound barrier for underneath. My husband did a little homework online before he started.
Ive been thinking about painting the kitchen floor. I know one or two people that have done this and say that it isn't hard and it isnt as expensive as tile. |
