I've had my puppy for about 5 weeks now, and he had a cough, or more of a hacking. The vet tried 2 different kinds of antibiotics and he still has it but it's getting fewer and far between. Everything else about him is normal, he's eating, playing, seems healthy otherwise, I am hoping that it will get better as he gets a little older.

Things I'd watch for is if your puppy is not eating, seems lethargic, coughing up stuff, then you know it's something serious. I'd still try to get that cough on video as suggested and bring him for regular check ups to keep an eye on it.

I hope your puppy gets better soon and it's not a collapsed trachea. Good luck.
