I would ask this homeopathic vet if he/she is going to pay for heartworm treatment for your pup should he contract heartworms. Every other month is not the recommended dosage per the manufacturer.
I have had many pups with various health conditions and my vet has never cut the heartworm preventative dosage down. Further, my pups and/or my fosters have never had any untoward issues due to heartworm preventatives.
