My male was easier to train- in general he picks up on things quicker and is more eager to please me so I think that is what helped me. The girl is trained as well now, but I had to be on top of her a lot more and it took a lot longer- she was over a year before I felt like I could leave her alone, uncrated without coming back to an accident. So, I think it is probably just more about individual personality then a gender thing.
