Were you walking on crutches when you got her? If the barking started afterwards then there's your answer.
Toby barks when we sweep with a broom which is kind of like walking with crutches I guess. Hold on.... I just got a pair of crutches from when my wife broke her leg and sure enough he started barking at me. Plus dogs can sense when something is wrong with a person so she may just be worried about you.
