Think about this....
on Sunday the jury heard the first part of the closing statement from the prosecution, and then heard FOUR hours of the defense's closing statement. Recess for the day.
Monday the jury came in to court ALL DRESSED UP. This is before they even finished hearing from the prosecution. They also came ALL DRESSED UP on Tuesday...the day they announced their verdict.
These are jurors that always dressed casually in tennis shoes, etc...coming in wearing ties and high heels. They made up their mind about "reasonable doubt" on SUNDAY after the defense made their statement.
It feels like a series of unfortunate events. The jurors did NOT seriously rate. I don't think they even seriously listened to the prosecutions closing. They had ALREADY made up their mind.

I agree - why would you not take notes on this complicated case? How can you carefully review facts, data, w/o notes?
