I don't think this jury understood or took the time to carefully review ALL charges brought against her and what the definitions of these charges were. Perhaps taking some notes would have helped!
They definitely didn't understand (or care to!) because one of the alternates said that he felt the right decision was made because motive was never proven. THAT IS SO FRUSTRATING TO KNOW THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THIS PART OF IT!!!!!! Sure, a jury likes to have a motive....to make sense of it, but technically they didn't have to in order to prove she was guilty. This was even explained to them at one point. I think that too many of jury members related too much to Casey and her life.....the case for prosecution ended before it ever even began.
