I am in Australia and we did not think that a ban on tail docking would happen in our country but it did and it has made showing and winning very difficult indeed
I breed and show miniature schnauzers and have just purchased a yorkie to show, he is a champion and has a tail.He has been doing well in the showring but that is because he has great breed type and movement.You need to have an outstanding dog and be very competitive in order to beat the dogs that are docked.I would prefer to show docked animals but the breeder I bought him from did not dock him.
Vets are not allowed to dock here either so I had not choice about removing his tail.You have to be very strong if you decide to show an undocked animal.
