Then this too: I will be taking her Tuesday to get her dew claws and tail done the other vet bill will likely have to wait!  I added pictures of dad to the other album I just uploaded. Take a look!
Hmmm~can't pay the vet bill. Speaks volumes as to why Mylie was left to suffer for 8 agonizing hours. 
Since I'm not a breeder maybe someone could answer my question about tails and dew claws. Isn't it a little late to be removing dew claws and tails at a week old?  |
I'm no breeder, as you know, but it seems like most say 3-5 days, but this also depends on weight, and some will wait until a pup is over a critical period, but of course you can't wait too long. Breeders who take their dogs to the vet usually wait longer, and I think a week is still in the ballpark, but it’s very close to the cutoff period. I’m glad she’s taking her to a vet, some try to do it themselves, and make a real mess of things, so I’ll give her one thumb up for that.
