She was jumping in on her own some then, but I'm not sure if she was having fun. She's always happy if she has her ball. So I'll work w/her somemore. Next year when Bambi's bigger I'll have to teach her pool safety too. She's just too little for it right now. Plus after her sickness from the bunny visitor droppings she doesn't go outside. Next year we'll add Bambi's pictures. Barley hates the water...he's such a princess, I don't think he knows he's a boy LoL. Thanks!!!!!
Yes, it's very important to get them used to it!! Now Jackson is a water pool diving freak so I don't worry about him as much anymore but he's been exposed to it for over 2 years now and I'm always watching him like a hawk anyways.

But take it from a water safety advocate (my little brother drowned) it's MORE important to get them used to being in the water and comfortable around it, know their way out, how to swim, etc. Keeping them away from it does more harm than good. You may wanna try, if you haven't already, having her swim a bit w/o the jacket as well so she knows what to do if she fell in without it. My dads dog is not as big on the water and she's fallen in a few times and used to panic! We make a note of sticking her in the pool once a day just to remind her where the stairs are.
