I think too big a crate is the usual problem, too. The dog should be able to stand up and turn around comfortably, no more, no less. However, I think that it also depends on how they were handled when first born. I believe that puppy mill dogs, when raised in a cage and taught to pee and poo inside it, will have a hard time breaking this learned habit. |
