This actually just happened to a friend - her yorkie was gone for 2 days - and I can just bet he's up to date on his shots...We never know what could happen and it's better to be safe than sorry.
I bet she never thought she'd have her yorkie missing and wandering around for 2 days....that could happen to any of us. I'd WAY rather know my girls are protected.
