I have same problem with Tootsie. She is 21mo old. We have been to dog parks & she does ok there (except with some dogs) but walking her around complex she acts like its HERS and no other dog allowed. It does get embarrassing, I even try to walk opposite directions to "avoid" any encounters. I have been told that it is her way of "protecting" me & it's just a tertitorial thing but my goodness. And the barking....or should I say yelping lol. One of the maintenance guys calls her killer which is a joke cuz she is the sweetest thing ever.
