Wow, that site scared me! Those babies are too tiny.
The breeder I got Max and Abby from in Catalina, Arizona still had one boy left a few days ago. He is about 16 weeks now and should be about 4.5-5.0 pounds fully grown.
Abby's sister was tiny and the breeder said she was not selling her because she was too small - about one pound at 11 weeks (and still with her mommy all day). She did not want to let her go to someone who may try to breed her or or not understand some of the potential health issues. The tiny baby was out with Abby and Max when I went to pick them up (when they were 12 weeks) - she was a true character and full of energy. But, oh dear, she was so small. The smaller they are, the less they know they are small.
Max and Abby will be smaller than any of my previous Yorkies, but I met both mommies and they looked great. Healthy and full of love and energy. Max's mom was playing with Max and his brother when I went to visit. They all appeared very healthy and socialized. The mommies are the breeders pets and sleep with her when they do not have babies. This was the first little for both mommies.
The breeder was great and let me visit with the babies for several hours on two occasions - there was no rush and no push for me to buy them. She gave me her email, home and cell in case I had any questions or issues.
If you are interested, send me a PM and I will give you her information. |
