Hot Rod seemed better this moring so I kept my appt and was gone for about 3 hours. When I got home he was up and around and greeted me somewhat excitedly but not as per usual. I checked his gums and they were okay but he was still not 100%.
Long story short, he was shaking slightly again. Had not gotten to get Nutrical yet as traffic around here is horrible for the holiday, we on the direct path to the beach and traffic was started to back up when I left at 8:00 am.
It tookk hubby 1/2 hour to drive 5 miles home from work! I will go once traffic slows down in a bit.
Anyhow vet was closed but she called me back and told her about yesterday and she said to give him more syrup and a small amout of ground beef (he is allergic to chicken) and rice and see if he continues to shake and check gums. If he still exhibited signs, call her right away. Although he was shaking, he was still active, when hubby came home he got all excited and greeted him.
anyhow, this was @ 1:00 and since then, he's as though nothing was wrong, barking when hubby dropped something against the wall in the garage and going after maggie over it,

-does this all the time and he even went to his normal food and ate some. I picked it up right away and gave him the beef and rice and he gobbled it up. Now he's wagging his tail and running.
Have taken him out twice but nothing, just peeing. Each time we came back in he drank water.
His gums are normally not pinky pink, they are on the lighter side so that's why I couldn't really tell, but then last night they seemed to be greyish white.
So far at 3:00 he's run around the house and now he's sleeping on my desk as I'm typing. He has not shaken at all since the karo and food. I will give him some more food in 15 minutes as it was only like a 2 tablespoons of food earlier. So still keeping an eye on him but I think the worst is past.
I am wondering if his glands are bothering him. It's been about 4 1/2 weeks since they've been done.
