I would just call and ask if they were still planning on showing up. I just had a carpet cleaner at my house a couple weeks ago and the poor guy was understaffed and owned the business. He said he was coming around 5 and showed up at 8. He really was a hardworking guy, he was just over loaded with work.

One time I had GE scheduled to come fix my dryer. They said they would be at my house between 8-12. I called as it got closer to 12 and they told me that the guy will be coming. A couple hours came and went, so I called again. Same answer. The guy is just "running late". More time past so I called again. Same answer. More time past so I called again. Same answer. I was getting increasingly agitated by each phone call. By the last time I called it was after 6 and I was extremely irritated. FINALLY the representative told me that they didn't even see me scheduled. WHAT THE HECK?! I told him that someone needed to come out NOW because I had been waiting since 8 AM. He said that couldn't happen because all of the techs were off for the day and I needed to reschedule. I was really angry.
