I rarely take my dogs in any store unless I know it's allowed, like pet stores. My son has asthma and he doesn't want to meet a dog in a store where he is shopping, like Blockbuster. Blockbuster might lose his business the first time he went in there and someone had a dog with them. I love my dogs just as much as anyone, but don't think it's my "right" to take them in stores and force other people to deal with them. They're safer at home. Some children are afraid of dogs, some people are allergic, some people just don't like dogs. No matter how careful you are, something can always happen. The dog gets scared and barks, leaps out of your arms and gets out the door, bites someone who tries to catch it, pees on the merchandise, causes a big commotion. There are plenty of places we can take our dogs where they are expected to be. I'm happy with those places.
